Sarah’s Story
Our company is RealSure Ltd. We carry out building inspections on residential properties. Our head office is based out in the Hutt Valley, and we cover the whole Wellington region and the southern point of the Wairarapa.
Our average client is anyone that’s buying or selling a property; they tend to be more in the 30-45 age bracket than any other.
We aren’t as well known as we’d like to be, because our marketing has been limited due to budget constraints. Our growth is predominantly through word of mouth and we do seem to have a very, very good reputation out there, which is brilliant.
We did do a lot of research when the company was launched and worked with a very good brand marketing company that used to be called Frameworks and are now called Brand New.
We set up expectations for the company’s culture, image and desired perception and that all came to be. It did prove that when you plan these things, and take the time to do the research and development, it actually happens. You visualize and it becomes — very much so. We set out to achieve an expectation and perception and we’re getting there.
We exceeded our business plan in our first year in business by about 75%, and we’re looking at 100% more this year. The growth’s been phenomenal. Our plans need to be updated!
