Everyone likes to succeed in life. Whether it’s a sport, education or business, success is what we all aim for. Yet not everyone succeeds at success.

Strange as it may seem, it’s simple to succeed. You see, we’re all born with the same amount of potential and brainpower. When things begin to go wrong, it’s usually due to factors that have nothing whatsoever to do with what it takes to succeed.

Bad luck, being at the wrong place at the wrong time, not being clever enough, not having a “business brain” or not having enough capital are reasons too often bandied around. What rubbish!

You are what you are today because of the sum total of your actions. If you want a different result, you’ve got to do things differently. But you already know that, because if you didn’t, you wouldn’t have bought this book.

So congratulations on taking the first step to changing your lot in life. Congratulations on doing something positive – on deciding to accept accountability for your own future.

The formula for success in business is simple. And it’s easily achievable. You can have anything you want, as long as you want it badly enough. Success is here in abundance, and there’s more than enough to go around. All you have to do is want it badly enough, and then decide what you have to do to have it. The choice is yours.

But don’t let me go on and on about this. After all, I have more than enough of everything that I’ve ever wanted to last many lifetimes. Listen instead to what others have to say. Listen to what ordinary businesspeople, just like you, have to say about the secrets to their success. And listen well. You don’t have to re-invent the wheel, you know.
